Stop The Bleed
Emergency Trauma Care
Navasota ISD prioritizes the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors. In alignment with Board Policy CKD (LEGAL) and Section 38.030 of the Texas Education Code, Navasota ISD has implemented a comprehensive Traumatic Injury Reponse Protocol to prepare our community for effectively responding to injuries involving significant blood loss.
Bleeding control stations are clearly marked and strategically placed at every campus and district facility and contains essential medical supplies such as military-grade tourniquets, chest seals, compression bandages, emergency blankets, gloves, scissors, markers, and detailed instructions.
Navasota ISD ensures training is conducted for school staff annually by St. Josephs Health, as well as we offer annual instruction for students in grades 7-12 which consists of both online and skills training.
Students who want to be trained in Stop the Bleed can complete the online course at the link below and once you obtain your certificate email Derek Bowman at [email protected].
