Over the next few weeks, Navasota ISD will be sharing information regarding a possible Voter Approval Tax Ratification Election (VATRE) to help our community better understand the process and what it could mean for the district.
As a starting point, we encourage you to take a moment to view our short presentation, VATRE 101, which provides a helpful overview of what a VATRE is and how it works.
We also invite you to attend an upcoming informational meeting regarding the possible VATRE. During the meeting, attendees will learn:
- What a VATRE is and how it works.
- How the process could affect Navasota ISD.
- Information indicating that the proposed measure would result in no increase to the tax rate for voters.
- An opportunity to ask questions and better understand the proposal.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide clear, factual information so that community members can make informed decisions based on an understanding of the possible VATRE.
