35 NHS Career and Technology Students Advance to State SkillsUSA

Navasota had 54 students participate in various SkillsUSA events - some in multiple events, and 35 students advanced to the State Competition to represent Navasota High School at the SkillsUSA State Convention in Corpus Christi this coming March 26-28. Congratulations students.

29 NHS Students Advance to State History Fair

Congratulations to the following Navasota High School students who participated in the Regional History Fair last Friday at Washington on the Brazos. Texas History Day, part of the National History Day program, is a yearlong education program that culminates in an annual state-level history fair for students in grades six through twelve.

#1 Navasota Wins 4A Division I State Championship in 2 OT Against Argyle 42-35

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Navasota (16-0) won it's 2nd state championship in three years following a 42-35 double overtime win over Argyle (15-1). The Rattlers finished another perfect season in 2014 at 16-0 and now boast a 42-2 record over the last three years.

Nesloney Named 2014 Elementary Teacher of the Year

Mr. Nesloney was selected from five finalists for his world-class collaboration, his contributions to the field of education and his modeling of a 21st-Century educator.

Open Meeting to Discuss Renaming of Navasota Intermediate School

An open meeting regarding the renaming of the Navasota Intermediate School is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. in the Intermediate Cafeteria. Parents and the community are encouraged to attend the meeting to hear current suggestions and discuss the next steps in determining a new name for the reconfigured PK-5th grade elementary campus.

ALL NISD Pre-K & Kinder Registration Scheduled for Mon., July 27-Thurs., July 30 at John C. Webb Elem. Cafeteria

ALL Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration (High Point Elementary, John C. Webb Elementary and Navasota Intermediate) is scheduled for Monday, July 27 through Thursday, July 30. Registration will be held at the John C. Webb Elementary Cafeteria from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parents and guardians will need to bring the following for registration:

Pre-K Registration Requirements:
Birth Certificate
Social Security Card of Student
2 Current Proof of Income Documents/Food Stamp Eligibility Number
Shot Record (Shots need to be up to date)
Copy of Parent Driver's License
Current Utility Bill or Electricity Bill
*All documents must be presented at time of registration.
**Pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2015.

NISD Summer School

Summer School begins on Wednesday, June 3 for all students. This year all Summer School students will attend Navasota Junior High. Summer School will begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 12:00 p.m and run from June 3 - June 30. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. each morning. School will only run Monday through Thursday during the summer. For more information please call 936-825-4225.

New Elementary School Boundary for Webb & Intermediate Students

Navasota ISD Board of Trustees approved a motion to make all elementary campuses Pre-K through 5th grade in Navasota ISD. The Board then approved Boundary Map 4 as the new elementary boundary for students that attend John C. Webb Elementary and the New PK-5 Elementary School (currently Navasota Intermediate).
