GRIMES COUNTY SPECIAL EDUCATION COOPERATIVE
 
The Grimes County Special Education Cooperative (which includes Anderson-Shiro ISD, Iola ISD, Navasota ISD, North Zulch ISD, and Richards ISD) provides a wide variety of special education services to eligible students throughout the district. Students are eligible for special education services from the age of 3 through 21. Students with hearing and/or vision disabilities may receive services from birth. The Grimes County Special Education Cooperative (which includes Anderson-Shiro ISD, Iola ISD, Navasota ISD, North Zulch ISD, and Richards ISD) maintains a system for locating, evaluating, and identifying children or young adults who may have a suspected disability and may need special education support and services.
 
To be eligible for special education services, students must meet eligibility requirements as a student with an orthopedic impairment, other health impairment, auditory impairment, visual impairment, deaf-blindness, intellectual disability, emotional disability, specific learning disability, speech/language impairment, multiple disabilities, autism, non-categorical early childhood/developmental delay, or traumatic brain injury.
