RATTLERS ROLL IN FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF GAME

KICKSTART KIDS BRING HOME MEDALS

Students from the Navasota KickStart Kids program traveled to Pflugerville Middle School on Saturday, February 11th for the KickStart Kids Central Texas Spring Championships and brought home several awards. The tournament featured eleven KickStart Kids schools and over 400 participants. Navasota brought home a 1st Place in Intermediate Demonstration Team Competition, a 3rd Place in Advanced Demonstration Team Competition, 5 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 18 Bronze Medals. The competition included Team Performance, Solo Performance, Weapons Performance and Point Sparring. (click title for list of awards)

We are proud of all Fifty-one NHS students who participated in the competition!

Our Navasota Junior High Students also participated in the Regional History Fair.
The group performance consisting of David Yorek, Annabelle Pullin, and Julia Mershon got 2nd place and will advance to Austin on April 29th.
Jenna Strode, Lexi Nobles, Aubrie Keenright, and Alexia Bustamante placed 3rd with their project.
Lillian Mahan recieved Honorable Mention for her Individual Exhibit and received a $125 award.
Hannah Dimmel, Bethany Izaguire, and Robbie Morton received a $100 award.
Mia Nunez, Paige Lawrence, Mary Alfaro, Trinity Loukanis was a $50 award.

COUNTRY GIRLS CAN CODE

Techs4Tex is a technology organization who supports school districts with technology opportunities. For the second year in a row, they offered a girls only coding event called "Country Girls Can Code" Saturday, January 21 for 9th-12th graders. This event is geared towards girls in rural school districts who may not have opportunities that larger districts offer. (click title for more information)
