In an effort to keep our parents, staff, and community informed, Navasota ISD has created a COVID-19 Dashboard to reflect the number of test-confirmed COVID-19 cases that have been identified on our campuses. While we will continue to send notifications to individual campuses when there is a confirmed positive case, we will update the dashboard daily, excluding weekends and holidays. Positive cases reported after 5:00 pm will be reflected the following day. A positive case indicates a staff member or student who was onsite in a district facility has tested positive for COVID-19. Individuals who test positive are excluded from participation in any in-person/on-campus activity until the school nurse or personal medical provider verifies the individual meets the return-to-school criteria set by local and state health authorities. Once the individual is cleared to return, their case is removed from the dashboard. Each test-confirmed case is reported to Region 7 Texas Department of State Health Services and aggregate data is reported regularly to the Texas Education Agency. Per the Texas Education Agency, notification of a test-confirmed positive COVID-19 case will be sent to the staff and families of the affected campus or department. Should the number of cases warrant an intermittent closure of a school, a notification will be sent to all district families and staff.
