Access Training
This training helps you use a database for organizing your student data more efficiently. Again you will need to go through the three tutorials found at Online Expert (LearnKey) and complete each test. Be sure to print out your certificates for each test taken.
Integrated Unit of Study
There is one other requirement (this is only required of teachers) for the final year of implementation and that is the integration of technology in the classroom as student tools as well as teaching tools. All subjects have their own special technology standards (TEKS), which should be included in your instructional practices. To meet this requirement teachers are asked to create a lesson or unit incorporating technology in the plan. The following should be included in the plan ( click here for information about technology integration and sample lessons):
- a detailed lesson plan, showing core subject TEKS (including technology TEKS). Madeline Hunter's model would be a good place to start, though not required. Click Here for a site that may be helpful for designing a lesson using her model
- copies of all materials used, including PowerPoints or Excel documents created, WebQuests templates (go to the district website for more information)
- sample of completed assignment/project by a student
