Releasing the Spirit of Academic Success
Alfred "Coach" Powell of the Visionary Leaders Institute visited with junior high and high school students last week, encouraging them to take advantage of their opportunities as the new semester gets started. The Visionary Leaders Institute returned to Navasota ISD to meet with faculty and staff for a second time and to meet with students, parents and members of the community for a first time.  Ako Kambon and Powell hosted a community forum Wednesday, Jan. 6, to discuss how to facilitate more parental involvement in schools along with improving school effectiveness and achieving diversity and cultural competency. Powell visited with students at both campuses Thursday.
Our hope is to keep you informed about what is happening on the campuses of Navasota ISD. Please submit ideas for coverage and help us share with students, teachers, and the greater community how the students of Navasota are learning, leading, and succeeding.

Sincerely,
Scott Powers
